ASTRO is committed to the development of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. Clinical practice guidelines are built from the body of established literature, relying primarily on evidence from randomized clinical trials. They provide physicians with guidance to help ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Completed guidelines are published in either the International Journal of Radiation Oncology•Biology•Physics, Practical Radiation Oncology or Advances in Radiation Oncology. The Guidelines Subcommittee is part of the Clinical Affairs and Quality Council.
ASTRO values the opportunity to endorse guidelines for clinical practice that are developed by external organizations. For consideration, please complete the Endorsement Request Form.
