Best Practices

Best Practice Statements (BPs) define the appropriate use of radiation oncology technology and offer guidance to physicians in delivering high quality care. They are developed using the RAND/UCLA Appropriateness Method, a rigorous, formal process for combining available literature with expert opinion from an independent multidisciplinary panel. Best Practice Statements are designed to address clinical practice questions for which high-level evidence is lacking. The Best Practices Subcommittee is part of the Clinical Affairs and Quality Council.
