Best Practices

Best Practice Statements (BPs) are designed to showcase the best practices available for optimal patient care based on available literature and expert opinion and will complement ASTRO’s clinical practice guidelines and safety white papers. Using the RAND appropriateness methodology, expert panels are involved in creating BPs that will define the appropriate use of radiation oncology technology, treatment methods and patient care processes. The first Best Practices project launched in 2012.
