Scientific Press Room Guidelines for
ASTRO’s 2007 Annual Meeting

In an effort to provide our members and abstract presenters with opportunities to promote their research, ASTRO is pleased to provide a Scientific Press Room at ASTRO’s 49th Annual Meeting in Los Angeles. This press room allows the media to access scientific information as it relates to ASTRO and the field of radiation oncology. We appreciate you adhering to the following guidelines.

Scientific Press Room Guidelines:

1. Any press materials that relate to research in the field of radiation oncology are permitted in the ASTRO Scientific Press Room. We ask that press releases state that this research was unveiled at the ASTRO Annual Meeting in Los Angeles.
2. Press releases that relate to scientific presentations at the ASTRO Annual Meeting must be embargoed until the date and time of the presentation.
3. ASTRO personnel will staff the Scientific Press Room and review all press releases before the meeting for content. ASTRO invites members and abstract presenters to stop by the room throughout the show.
4. Please include local contact information with your press materials, including hotel and room number, pager and cell phone number. It is also helpful to include phone numbers of your media representatives. This will help ASTRO staff as well as members of the press locate you more easily for interviews.
5. Members and abstract presenters are asked to bring no more than 30 copies of each press release.
6. ASTRO reserves the right to eject members and abstract presenters who do not adhere to these guidelines.
7. ASTRO reserves the right to make judgments and/or decisions about any issues that arise that are not covered in these guidelines. The ASTRO Chief Executive Officer is the final arbiter of any questions or disputes that may arise.
