ASTRO's primary member base is physicians certified in radiation oncology. Overall this group accounts for 45 percent of the membership. ASTRO has 11 different membership categories created to not only meet the needs of its physician members, but also to meet the needs of other non-physician radiation oncology related occupations. ASTRO benefits and services are useful to physicists, biologists, radiation therapists, nurses, medical dosimeterists, administrators, physician anssistants and other members of the radiation oncology treatment team.
