ASTRO's Communications Committee has created several feature articles to help explain to the public how radiation therapy works to treat cancer and other diseases. These articles are "evergreen," meaning they do not have dates in them so they can be used at any time of year. Members are encouraged to take these articles and personalize them with quotes from themselves and pictures of their facilities to give to local newspapers for their health sections.
