The ASTRO Spring Refresher Course Program is designed to update the practicing radiation oncologist, medical physicist, radiation oncology nurse and resident-in-training by reviewing a specific topic or field. This program will satisfy an identified educational need by offering an essential review of timely clinical topics and new biological approaches to enhancing radiotherapeutic benefit.

Program Objective
The objective of the program is to provide attendees with the current management of malignancies most encountered within radiation oncology. Presentations by national experts will provide the registrant with an overview of information and material that can be used in daily applications. Each instructor will provide learning objectives for his or her individual refresher course. These will be provided in the final meeting program and the syllabi.

Target Audience
The meeting is designed to meet the interest of practicing radiation oncologists, radiation oncology nurses, radiation oncology residents, radiation biologists, radiation physicists, radiation therapists and all other health professionals involved in the field of radiation oncology.

Program Format
2 1/2 Day Symposium – Didactic lecture

Travel Grants Available
To encourage participation in this symposium, a meeting that addresses the current management of malignancies most encountered within radiation oncology, ASTRO has established a fund to subsidize meeting attendance. ASTRO will award $1,000 for domestic travel and $1,500 for international travel. Click here to access the travel grant application with full instructions and criteria.
