ASTRO needs your assistance

For many years CPT code 77334 complex treatment devices has been used to describe MLC blocking of IMRT fields. This code (77334) will no longer be allowed to describe this service in the near future. The creation of a new CPT code to specifically describe the work and practice expense associated with MLC blocking of IMRT fields was mandated by regulatory agencies. Due to these impending changes, ASTRO will be conducting a survey for the AMA/Specialty Society Relative Value System Update Committee (RUC) later this fall to collect data for a new CPT code for the physician work and practice expense of MLC device(s) used for the delivery of IMRT treatment.
