ASTRO has redesigned its patient portal RT Answers to be more user friendly for patients and their families. In a major policy victory for ASTRO, CMS announced yesterday that it will not implement the proposed 19 percent Medicare physician payment cuts to radiation oncology for 2010. Instead, the agency will reduce radiation oncology payments by only five percent over a four-year period. The ASTRO/ACR Guide to Radiation Oncology Coding 2010 is now available for preorder. It will be available in three formats: Web only, Coding Guide only or as a Coding Guide and Web package.
